Informations
In her first solo album, Élodie Soulard sketches the portrait of an orchestra instrument par excellence, an instrument endowed with a range of riveting colors: the accordion.
In reviving certain pieces composed for keyboard, she imbues them with new light. Portraits takes us on a journey through four centuries of music, from Bach to Grieg to Semionov and Runchak, darting from transcriptions to original works. This astonishing and contrasted album offers new understanding of a not so classic instrument.
