Inspiration baroque Ensemble Amarillis & Louis Sclavis

Informations

Inspiration baroque is a meeting between the Amarillis ensemble and the improviser Louis Sclavis.
Conceived as a journey through the spectrum of musical style in the 17th century - from its Italian birthplace to the subtleties of French ornamentation, and through English and German attempts to coalesce national tastes - this album marries the colours and sounds of jazz with the inherited rhythms of Baroque dances.
