After the Maîtrise de Caen (conducted by Robert Weddle), studies in science and the Paris Conservatory, Cyrille Dubois entered the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera in 2010. In 2015, he was named ‘Révélation Artiste Lyrique’ of the year at the 22nd Victoires de la Musique Classique.
Quickly, he was invited to sing at the Paris Opera, La Scala in Milan, La Monnaie in Bruxelles, the Glyndebourne Festival, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Opéra national de Lyon, the Bunkamura in Tokyo, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, the Palazetto Bru Zane in Venice, the Zurich Opernhaus and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow in roles such as: Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte, Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, Gérald in Lakmé, Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Iopas in Les Troyens, Hippolyte in Hippolyte et Aricie, Le Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites and others.
With Tristan Raës, his partner in Duo Contraste, he has won numerous international competitions, and the pair has performed in Saint Petersburg, Royaumont, at the Musée Claude Debussy, the Musée de l’Armée des Invalides, Wigmore Hall in Londres and in Moscow. They have recorded Clairières dans le ciel, a programme centred around musicians during World War I, on Hortus (2014) and O Lieb! dedicated to the music of Liszt on Aparté (2019).
