Alexandre Kantorow was born in 1997. After some lessons with Pierre-Alain Volondat, Alexandre joined the Schola Cantorum in Paris to study with Igor Lazko. He has also received advice from such eminent teachers as Jacques Rouvier, Théodore Paraschivesco, Georges Pludermacher, Christian Ivaldi and Jean-Phlippe Collard. Alexandre continues his studies at the Paris National Conservatoire with Franck Braley and Haruko Ueda.
He has won several first prizes in international competitions, and has played with orchestras such as the Bordeaux Chamber Orchestra, Orléans Symphony Orchestra and the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra in Lithuania.
Future engagements include concerts with the Sinfonia Varsovia for “Les Folles Journées” in Nantes, with the Picardie Orchestra, with the Douai Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège. He has also been invited by Augustin Dumay to perform Brahms 2nd concerto with the Kansai Philharmonic in Osaka, and by Gilbert Varga for a Liszt-Saint-Saëns program with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
