With pieces from yesteryear and today, from Francis Poulenc to Benjamin Britten, Jonathan Harvey, György Ligeti, Olivier Messiaen, Frank Martin, and Aurélien Dumont, the Aedes Ensemble treats us to its Ludus Verbalis, an eclectic panorama of masterpieces for a capella choir. The ambitious program is directed by Mathieu Romano. It is the final installment in a tetralogy of recordings dedicated to 20^th– and 21^st-century vocal music.
