On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Carl Philip Emanuel Bach’s birth, the most famous of the cantor of Leipzig’s sons, Les Curiosités Esthétiques invite us to rediscover its chamber (music) repertoire, in particular the gems/jewels that are his quartets with piano (Aline Zylberajch), flute (Jean-Pierre Pinet), viola (Fanny Paccoud) and cello (Etienne Mangot).
Going back in time in search of the (so) distinctive/special/unique sound of that time’s pianos/the pianos of that time, this album pays tribute to the author of the “Essay on the real way of playing keyboard instruments “.
