Miroirs Jonas Vitaud
In celebration of the birth of Henri Dutilleux 100years ago, Jonas Vitaud pays tribute to the man with a recital album to parallel his work for solo piano with that of Franz Liszt.
In featuring Liszt’s rarely played and rather private pieces which contrast sharply with the repertoire of brilliance and virtuosity that Liszt’s name generally brings to mind, Jonas Vitaud has set up language bridges between Dutilleux’s restraint and inwardness, illustrated in the title of his first prelude, D'ombre et de silence.
